In the beginning days of JAS, Technology Foundation is referred as collection of the software components for viewing the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software from a web browser. Prior to this FAT client is the standard means of accessing the EnterpriseOne software.IBM provided that Technology Foundation.
Now the Technology Foundation includes products for implementing, integrating, orchestrating, accessing ...the EnterpriseOne applications. More over Technology Foundation is mandatory now. Oracle joined the race by packing several of its components. So customers have two stacks to choose from:
IBM Technology Foundation -- Blue Stack
Oracle Technology Foundation -- Red Stack
