How to download the file or member from mainframes to local copy.

To download the file or member from mainframe to local copy in text or word format...
Go to Start 6 option in mainframes...
On the top of the screen you will find one icon Receive files from host...click on that icon..
you will get one window..in that give the file name or member in single quotes that you want to download from mainframe in Host file option PC file should be empty..Transfer type should be text..and then Browse the file to give the destination of the file u want to download the file and also give the destination name of the file..
And finally click on the Receive button the file will be downloaded in text or word format according to the given format...!!!!
Note: To extract the member you have to give the PDS name and the member name in braces...the whole name should be in quotes

For Eg: 'B5450.D5309K.DB2.CPY(A5359SCV)'.....In this B5450.D5309K.DB2.CPY is the PDS name and A5359SCV is the member name.
